29% Of Americans Delay Or Avoid Medical Care Due To COVID-19 Concerns
About 29% of adults have actively delayed or avoided seeking medical care due to concerns about contracting coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). About 70% are very concerned (39%) or somewhat concerned (31%) about contracting COVID-19 from someone in the health care setting if they need to seek care for a condition not related to COVID-19. About 80% are concerned about contracting COVID-19 in hospital emergency departments. About 73% are concerned about overstressing the health care system.
