Ohio Revised Settlement Agreement Allows Consumers To Choose Between I/DD ICF & HCBS Waiver Services
Under a recently approved settlement agreement, the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities (DODD) will allow people with intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD) to choose between receiving services at intermediate care facilities (ICFs) and receiving home- and community-based services (HCBS) through a waiver. On April 24, 2020, the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio approved a revised settlement agreement between DODD and Disability Rights Ohio (DRO) and its partners for Ball v. DeWine.
