Health Care Advocacy Organizations Endorse Telehealth Principles
A coalition of 17 consumer advocacy organizations have endorsed a set of telehealth coverage principles for adoption by policymakers in the period following the pandemic. The organizations encourage legislation and regulations to ensure that consumers can continue to safely access appropriate telehealth services during and after the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) public health emergency.
The coalition members share the view that telehealth should be used to increase consumer access to care. They are collectively making the following recommendations:
