On February 21, 2014, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) posted 2012 quality of care performance data for 141 Medicare accountable care organizations (ACOs): 23 Pioneer ACOs and 118 Shared Savings Program ACOs. The performance measures related to outcomes for patients with diabetes, while the fifth concerns heart disease.
