On April 5, 2019, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) finalized policies intended to allow Medicare Advantage plans to include expanded telehealth benefits starting in plan year 2020. Beneficiaries living in urban or rural areas will be able to receive telehealth services at home, as well as at a health care facility.
