CMS Approves NJ Medicaid MLTSS Through 2022 With Pending Changes To Adult Behavioral Health
New Jersey Medicaid received federal approval to continue its managed Medicaid long-term services and supports (MLTSS) program from August 1, 2017 through June 30, 2022. The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) approved the state’s request to extend its 1115 Medicaid waiver for the NJ FamilyCare Comprehensive Demonstration. The state launched its MLTSS program on July 1, 2014. As of July 2017, nearly 300,000 of the state’s 1.8 million FamilyCare members were aged, blind, or disabled and likely to need LTSS.
