CMS Approves Georgia’s Partial Medicaid Expansion With Work Requirements
On October 15, 2020, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) approved Georgia’s “Pathways to Coverage” 1115 Medicaid waiver to implement a partial Medicaid expansion. It will apply to individuals who are between the ages of 19 through 64, not otherwise eligible for Medicaid, with income up to and including 100% of the federal poverty level (FPL). Those who are not otherwise exempt must work or participate in other qualifying activities for at least 80 hours a month.
