City Of Spokane & Catholic Charities Announce Plan To Decentralize Overnight Shelter Services
On July 20, 2018, the City of Spokane and Catholic Charities announced plans to decentralize a portion of the overnight shelter services currently being provided in the community. The City and the regional Continuum of Care stakeholders will begin meeting to develop criteria that will be used to evaluate potential shelter sites outside of the immediate downtown core. They intend to issue a request for proposals in the fall of 2018 to select an organization to operate the new shelter site effective July 1, 2019.
Currently, Catholic Charities provides day and night shelter services at its House of Charity shelter . . .
