Kaiser Permanente Performance On Mental Health Service Delivery Remains Unresolved With California Regulators
Kaiser Permanente has not fully corrected the access problems to mental health services that were reported in 2013, according to a follow-up review by the California Department of Managed Health Care (DMHC) conducted on-site at three visits during October 2013, March 2014, and April 2014, with analysis continuing through the remainder of 2014. The follow-up report was released February 24, 2015. The DMHC’s medical records review found that in Kaiser’s Northern Region, 22% of mental health appointments did not occur within the required regulatory timeframe.
