Four California counties (Los Angeles, Marin, Riverside, and Santa Clara) that were among the first to implement the state’s new Medicaid Drug Medi-Cal Organized Delivery System (DMC-ODS) pilot program for addiction treatment reported that the new approach expanded access to treatment and recovery support services, but also created challenges.
