Average U.S. Donor Believes 19% Is A Reasonable Overhead Percentage For Non-Profits
The average donor in the United States believes that 19%, or $0.19 of every dollar, is a reasonable overhead percentage for non-profit organizations. The average donor also believes that typical non-profit organizations spend 28% on overhead costs. Overhead costs are defined as non-program-related costs to run an organization, such as administrative staff salaries, buildings, equipment, and training.
