Asthma Does Not Seem To Increase The Severity Of COVID-19
When considering certain characteristics among individuals with asthma, it was determined that those with asthma are no more likely than those without to experience extreme illness or die from COVID-19. Factors that may reduce the risk of COVID-19 severity among individuals with asthma include:
COVID-19 disease awareness and consequences: Increased disease awareness and consequences both raised personal hygiene practices, and improved medication adherence in those with asthma. This has improved clinical outcomes of asthma management by increasing these practices in the population.
