Arrests Involving Girls Dropped 53% Between 2006 & 2015

Between 2006 and 2015, the number of arrests involving girls, defined as younger than 18 years, dropped by 53%. Delinquency cases involving girls dropped by 43%, and petitioned status cases dropped by 44% during the same period. Since 2006, the number of girls in a juvenile justice placement has dropped by 47%.
