Alaska Governor Signs Law To Support Self-Determination In Developmental Disability Services

On August 25, 2018, Alaska Governor Bill Walker signed a law to support self-determination by people with developmental disabilities receiving state-funded long-term services and supports (LTSS). The provisions go into effect in November 23, 2018. The bill does not require the Alaska Department of Social and Health Services, Division of Senior and Disabilities Services (DSDS) to implement specific changes or new practices.
