75% Of Massachusetts Behavioral Health Provider Organizations Had Losses Over $500,000 On Outpatient Services

During 2015, 75% of behavioral health provider organizations in Massachusetts lost an average of $555,000 on outpatient services, according to a survey by the Association for Behavioral Healthcare, which represents 85 provider organizations. The average loss represents about 17% of the average $4.5 million provider organization budgets for the organizations responding to the survey. For the past three years, about 75% of the organizations surveyed by the Association for Behavioral Healthcare have experienced losses on outpatient services.
