Nebraska To Develop Statewide Behavioral Health System Of Care For Children & Youth
On April 5, 2016, the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) announced plans to develop a Behavioral Health System of Care (SOC) for children and youth who have a serious emotional disorder (SED). The SOC is intended to integrate services by connecting and coordinating the work of state child-serving agencies, non-profit organizations, local government entities, behavioral health care provider organizations, families, and patient advocates. A key goal is to deliver services in a more effective and customer-oriented manner so that families no longer need to navigate multiple systems to find services needed by their children . . .
