During the first 18 months of the Washington State managed fee-for-service (MFFS) demonstration program for people eligible for both Medicare and Medicaid, Medicare per member per month (PMPM) spending was 6% lower for enrollees than for a comparison group. The first demonstration performance period ran from July 2013 to December 2014. Medicare spending, relative to a comparison group was $21.6 million lower for the beneficiaries enrolled in the demonstration. The baseline PMPM for the demonstration enrollees was $1,564.26.
