57% Of Emergency Physicians Report Detoxification Or Rehabilitation Centers Are Rarely Or Never Accessible For Opioid Addicted Patients

About 57% of emergency physicians reported that detoxification or rehabilitation centers are rarely or never accessible for consumers with opioid use disorder who present in their emergency departments. More than half (55%) of emergency department physicians report that each day they treat at least one consumer experiencing opioid overdose.
