15% Of Working Age Adults With I/DD Engaged In Paid Employment In The Community
In 2014, about 15% of working age adults age 22 and older with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) who receive public supports were working in a paid position in the community. About 44% participated in an unpaid facility-based activity during the day. About 20% were working in a paid facility-based job. Another 19% participated in an unpaid community-based activity during the day. People often participated in more than one activity during the day.
