10 Philanthropic Foundations Launch Blue Meridian Partners To Invest $1 Billion In Evidence-Based Child-Focused Programs
On January 29, 2016, the Edna McConnell Clark Foundation (EMCF) and group of nine other philanthropic foundations launched Blue Meridian Partners to invest at least $1 billion in non-profit organizations that serve disadvantaged children and young adults in the United States. The focus will include evidence-based practices in early childhood development and learning, elementary and secondary education, child welfare, and juvenile/criminal justice systems.
In its initial investment, Blue Meridian Partners has selected four non-profit organizations for planning and development grants to scale up their programs. Further investment will be based on the Blue Meridian Partners’ assessment . . .
