California’s Duals Demonstration Project Delayed From January Until April 2014

On August 16, 2013, the California Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) delayed the launch of its Coordinated Care Initiative, which includes a duals demonstration project, from the previously scheduled January 1, 2014 start date to launch no sooner than April 2014. The CCI has two parts, Cal MediConnect, which is the duals demonstration project, and Managed Medi-Cal Long Term Services and Supports (MLTSS).
