Remote Monitoring Care For Heart Failure Reduces Hospitalization Costs

Among adults over age 65 with heart failure, patients receiving home care plus remote patient monitoring (RPM) had lower hospitalization costs due to slightly shorter stays compared to patients receiving only traditional care. The hospitalization rates for the two groups were essentially the same. A matched control study found that the 30-day hospitalization rate for the RPM group was 14% compared to 15% for the control group.
