Alliance's Happy Heart Program Screens Patients for Depression
Alliance Behavioral Care (ABC) in Cincinnati, Ohio is implementing a disease management program called the Happy Heart program, which ABC began planning for in the winter of 2000. There is substantial evidence that patients who suffer heart attacks and have depression are at a significantly higher risk for death.
