Evidence-Based Supported Employment Program Shows Significant Benefit For Veterans With PTSD

Veterans with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) who received individual placement and support (IPS) supported employment were 2.7 times more likely to gain competitive employment than those who received usual vocational rehabilitation services from the Veterans Health Administration Vocational Rehabilitation Program. About 75% of the veterans who received IPS and 28% of the veterans who received usual services gained competitive employment.
