Ohio Moving IDD Services To Consumer Self-Directed Model
In July 2012, the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities (DODD) will launch enrollment for a new self-directed services waiver for people with developmental disabilities; the federal Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) approved DODD's Self-Empowered Life Funding (SELF) waiver on December 9, 2011. The waiver will permit beneficiaries to direct how and from whom they receive supports and services.
