United States Long-Term Care Provider Organizations Served 8 Million People In 2012
In 2012, about eight million people in the United States received long-term care services and supports delivered by about 58,500 provider organizations, including adult day service centers, home health agencies, hospice programs, nursing homes, and assisted living communities. Within each provider organization sector, there were regional differences in ownership structure, average size, and the per capita supply.
