Texas To Implement Foster Care Case Rate Initiative In February 2013
On December 21, 2012, the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS) announced it planned to begin the state's first foster care case rate contract on February 1, 2013. The department finalized the first Foster Care Redesign single source continuum contract (SSCC) with Providence Service Corporation of Texas for DFPS Regions 2 and 9 (which includes the Northern and Central Texas cities of Abilene, Wichita Falls, Midland, and San Angelo).
