Medicaid Behavioral Health – No Changes In 2017 But Look For Changes Ahead
We just finished our annual analysis of state Medicaid behavioral health financing. The short story? There wasn't a lot of structural change in 2017—but there are pending changes that will shape the landscape in nine states in the near future.
The snapshot from 2016 to 2017 stayed pretty much static. In both years, there were 11 states with traditional specialty carve-out to a care management organization for behavioral health benefits.
