I was struck by the recent statistics on CEO turnover. According to the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE), annual turnover rate for hospital CEOs fluctuated between 14% and 18% between 2002 and 2012 (see Hospital CEO Turnover Rate Increases) – followed by a record 20% in 2013 (see Hospital CEO Turnover Hits Record High). And, the average hospital CEO tenure in 2013 was about 3.5 years (see 10 Statistics On CEO Turnover, Recruitment).
