Health Homes For Children—The Next Wave?
Earlier this month we reported on The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) plan to launch Medicaid health homes to provide care coordination for children with medically complex or chronic conditions (see CMS To Launch Health Homes For Children With Medically Complex Conditions). While CMS won't issue guidance on this move until 2020 at the earliest—or funding until 2022—this news marks an important movement in the market and might mark the beginning of a model that states (and health plans and ACOs) will adopt more broadly.
