When It Comes To Performance Measurement, The “Work” Is Never Done
I think performance measurement – and performance management – is exhausting. And I don't expect that to change any time soon. Why?
First, how “we” (individual consumers, the public, payers, professionals, regulators) define “performance” changes over time. Second, as technology improves, we can have access to newer and better metrics. Finally, the more we use performance measurement, the more we learn what measurements actually matter.
