Who wants smartphone apps? If you said consumers but not physicians, you would be wrong – now.
Not so long ago (last June), I wrote a piece about consumer acceptance of health care services and resources delivered via smartphone (see For Apps, Consumers Are In all members). But when I worked on that piece, the acceptance of apps among physicians was much more limited, with only 27% of them encouraging consumers to use applications in lieu of or in conjunction with traditional treatment.
