What Organizations Can Make the Financial Cut As ACOs?

Until we get the final picture of how health care reform will roll out in each state, it is certainly prudent to be “at the table” with local players to consider the feasibility of developing an accountable care organization (ACO). But, like the wave of provider-owned care management organizations of twenty years ago, I would encourage these ad hoc groups to discuss financing models and capital requirements sooner rather than later.
