In the new health and human service market, having relationships with health plans (a.k.a. managed care) is more important than ever. Why? As of 2014, the majority of all consumers are served through a managed care model – with managed care penetration across all payers reaching nearly 70%. Almost all commercial contracting is managed care (99.5%) and substantial amounts of Medicaid (67%) and Medicare (29%) have moved to managed care. And we expect this trend to continue.
