Woebot Raises $8 Million For Its AI Therapist
Psychotherapy software start-up Woebot recently announced it has raised $8 million from series A funding. The funding demonstrates the potential for the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in the treatment of individuals’ cognitive behavioral therapy issues.
The bot—which is currently available on Facebook Messenger, as well as the software’s new iOS app—helps consumers to cope with mental illnesses such as depression.
