Western Connecticut Health Network & Health Quest Combine To Form $2.4 Billion Health System
Western Connecticut Health Network (WCHN) and Health Quest recently merged, creating a $2.4 billion health system. Going forward, the newly formed non-profit entity will be named Nuvance Health (Nuvance), which combines the words “new” and “advance.”
Nuvance will include seven hospitals, about 12,000 employees, and serve approximately 1.5 million individuals. Previous WCHN CEO John Murphy will serve as the CEO of new health system. Robert Friedberg, Health Quest’s chief executive, will be Nuvance’s president.
