WellCare Of New York Expands Medicaid Programs To Three Additional Counties
Medicaid, Medicare, and prescription drug program provider organization WellCare Health Plans, Inc. (WellCare) recently announced that the New York Department of Health has approved the expansion of WellCare of New York, Inc. into three new counties: Broome, Richmond, and Suffolk.
Specifically, the three counties will now be part of WellCare’s Medicaid Managed Care, Child Health Plus, and Essential Plan programs. Prior to the addition of these counties, WellCare also covered Albany, Bronx, Duchess, Erie, Kings, Manhattan, Nassau, Niagara, Orange, Queens, Rensselaer, Rockland, Schenectady, Schuyler, Steuben, and Ulster counties.
