Vitality Unlimited (Vitality) was recently awarded a two-year, $2 million-a-year grant to expand its Elko Certified Community behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) to Carson City and Lyon County, Nevada. The grant comes from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), and is anticipated to see the new clinic opening its doors by February 1 of next year.

CCBHCs in the state of Nevada serve all individuals in need of care, regardless of their ability to pay. Such clinics also put strong emphasis on serving the “whole person” by offering person-centered and family-centered care. The new clinic in Carson City and Lyon county will focus on serving adults with serious mental illness (SMI), children with serious emotional disturbance, and individuals with mental illness and/or addiction disorders.

Vitality Unlimited is one of Nevada’s primary providers of highly effective behavioral health services, as well as state-of-the-art addiction disorder intervention, detoxification, counseling, treatment, and aftercare services that improve the quality of life for Nevadans and others. The Vitality Unlimited consumer base draws from every social and economic stratum in every part of Nevada and surrounding states, including California, Oregon, Utah, Arizona and New Mexico.

This was reported by Nevada Appeal on September 16, 2018.
