Vanderbilt University Medical Center Launches Addiction Clinic For Substance Abuse Patients
Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC) launched an addiction clinic for patients with substance abuse disorder following their stay in the emergency room. The newest Bridge Clinic will house patients who are leaving the Vanderbilt University Adult Hospital (VUAH) and require follow-up care for their addiction. The clinic opened on May 17, 2019.
Located in the Village at Vanderbilt, the clinic manages patients for a three-month transitional period to ensure they continue receiving care for their addiction in hopes of preventing future hospitalization, morbidity and mortality.
