UnitedHealthcare Expands Digital Data Collection For Medicare Beneficiaries
UnitedHealthcare (UnitedHealth) recently announced it is increasing the amount of data it collects from digital devices to help manage chronic illnesses. By creating a more comprehensive health profile for Medicare Advantage beneficiaries, consumers with chronic illness will be able to receive more personalized recommendations regarding their services, according to UnitedHealth. According to UnitedHealth leadership, the decision to expand the program stems from the positive results the program has yielded, including a 14% reduction in hospitalizations and a 9% reduction in emergency room visits for individuals with congestive heart failure who are participating in Navigate4Me.
