UChicago, Humana Strike Value-Based Care Partnership
The University of Chicago Medicine (UChicago) and Humana recently announced they are forming a value-based care partnership. The collaboration will seek to improve care coordination for Humana members in the Chicago region.
Specifically, the partnership will grant Humana’s Medicare Advantage, HMO, PPO, and private fee-for-service (FFS) health plan members access to receive value-based care services from UChicago’s hospital, outpatient care centers, and other practices. The collaboration will particularly hone in on allowing personal time between consumers and clinical professionals, preventive care, chronic care, data analytics, and value-based reimbursement.
