Tuolumne County Has A New Behavioral Health Director

The Tuolumne County Board of Supervisors recently named Eric Emery, Ph.D., as the new director of its Behavioral Health Department. The new appointment comes in the wake of former director Rita Austin’s resignation from the position in April.

Dr. Emery’s 45 years of experience in the behavioral health field won him a unanimous 5-0 vote in being named to the position. Formerly, he co-founded and led the Southern Ohio Family Institute and led the Family Institute of San Francisco. Dr. Emery’s new appointment goes into effect immediately.
