Rethink Autism announced the acquisition of TheraWe, a HIPAA-compliant mobile video platform that bridges the gap between pediatric therapy centers and families at home. The acquisition will amplify the Kansas City startup’s potential and take the founding team into a new phase.
TheraWe, a Digital Sandbox KC recipient and past Pure Pitch Rally competitor, will continue as a product offering from Rethink Autism, which is expected to help accelerate the organization’s vision faster than through fundraising and building the team locally more slowly. TheraWe saw the opportunity to further their mission quickly by growing the number of parents they interact with through this acquisition. The team from TheraWe is expected to work horizontally on parent engagement and solutions across Rethink Autism’s three verticals: clinical, benefits, and schools.
TheraWe’s mission is to improve consumer outcomes by improving the daily lives of parents of children with disabilities and their clinical professionals. The organization is headquartered in Kansas City, Missouri.
Rethink is a global health technology company providing cloud-based treatment tools, training and clinical supports for individuals with developmental disabilities and their caregivers. Rethink’s clients include leading organizations in behavioral health, employee benefits and education.
