St. Cloud’s CentraCare Health Is Buying More Clinics
CentraCare Health (CentraCare) has recently been making moves to expand its reach through the purchase of additional clinics. Over the past 18 months, the health care system has purchased three Minnesota provider organizations, spending over $40 million.
Statements from CentraCare officials have emphasized the need for such consolidation in order for health systems to stay economically afloat. With its more recently purchases, CentraCare is currently one of the 10 largest non-profit groups in Minnesota, reporting an operating income of $42.2 million during fiscal year 2017, and over $1.2 billion in revenue.
