Connected health organization ResMed recently announced it will be acquiring long-term post-acute care software organization MatrixCare. ResMed currently serves more than 15,000 Minnesota providers across skilled nursing, life plan communities, senior living, and private duty.
The purchase should bolster RedMed’s software-as-a-service portfolio, as well as diversity its revenue base. Included in that portfolio will now be Brightree, HealthcareFirst, and MatrixCare. ResMed is best known for its sleep apnea home systems, although its earnings are likely to become more diversified as it continues to acquire new organizations.
