Global leading consumer health and hygiene company Reckitt Benckiser Group (RB) recently announced it is partnering with Walmart on a campaign to provide better health care for consumers. The two companies will collaborate on a telehealth initiative with nationwide health care service Doctor On Demand.
Through working with Doctor On Demand, Walmart and RB will be able to allow consumers to conduct video visits with clinical professionals, lowering the cost barrier of care for consumers, as well as increasing their access to such. Video visits will be able to be executed via mobile phone, computers, or tablets. Consumers shopping at Walmart who buy select RB products—such as Mucinex and Delsym—will be able to redeem free vouchers for virtual health care consultations.
Walmart Inc. helps people around the world save money and live better—anytime and anywhere—in retail stores, online, and through their mobile devices. Doctor On Demand is a nationwide health care service that provides video visits with board-certified clinical professionals—such as physicians, psychiatrists, and licensed psychologists—via smartphones, tablets, and desktop computers.
