Penn State To Develop Digital ‘Collaboratory’ That Uses Big Data For Population Health Research
Penn State University recently announced the creation of a team that will build a research “collaboratory” that utilizes big data for population health research. The project would allow provider organizations to analyze health data without compromising the private information of consumers, a concern which sometimes prevents health data from being utilized.
The project—which will go by the name the Digital Collaboratory for Population Research—is anticipated to be shared with other research institutes upon creation.
