On June 28, 2017, the Colorado Regional Health Information Organization (CORHIO) announced that Peak Vista Community Health Center, a large federally qualified health center (FQHC) in Colorado, had gained access to and begun exchanging consumer health information with CORHIO’s PatientCare 360. PatientCare 360 is CORHIO’s patient lookup/health information exchange platform.
Due to their grant program from the state, Peak Vista is also a data contributor to the health information exchange. As such, care summary documents uploaded from Peak Vista’s electronic health record system to Patientcare 360 will soon be available to other clinical professionals throughout Colorado.
CORHIO is one of the United States’ largest public health information exchange networks, and the state designated entity for health information exchange in Colorado. As an independent, nonprofit organization, CORHIO serves all of Colorado’s health care stakeholders, including physicians, hospitals, behavioral health, emergency medical services, and many others.
