Parkwood Clinic Expands To Treat Veterans With Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder

Parkwood Institute (Parkwood) began new efforts to serve veterans and suffer from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). The hospital plans to offer a virtual reality suite, employ more staff, and conduct more research. The virtual reality suite helps consumers relive traumatic events under supervision and train them on how to better cope with such situations or other scenarios that could trigger PTSD.

These new services and efforts arrive as part of the hospital’s $1.2 million newly renovated operational stress injury clinic. The renovation increased the size of the clinic by 75 percent. It is anticipated that the changes . . .
