Optum Backs Mindstrong Health To Develop Smartphone Data Mining Technology
Optum's Ventures division has joined in a $14 million round of funding for Mindstrong Health (Mindstrong). Mindstrong is developing technology that tracks and analyzes how smartphone users engage their devices to detect behavioral health issues. Mindstrong has studied the ability to build smartphone user profiles based on how often they use their smartphones, how fast they type when they use their phones, and even how often the use specific apps.
